Drug Policy Coalition

KRFI Objectives for the National Drug Policy Coalition

The Knowledge Recovery Foundation Initiative (KRFI) seeks to strengthen global health governance and pharmaceutical transparency through the integration of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) for private public sector partnership (PPP) for the Drug Supply Chain Security Hyperledger platform within regional and national health systems. Our goal is to establish critical PPP regional partnerships that align with in-country coordinating mechanisms (CCMs) and advance WHO Prequalification and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards for pharmaceutical quality assurance (QA/QC) through securing sustainable trade for mental health products such as ibogaine and psychedelics..

This initiative aims to reinforce drug security policies, particularly in the opioid and opiate supply sectors, adapting DSCSA frameworks as the foundation for a global health drug security policy.

Under the Global Health Initiative 2030, KRFI promotes partnerships that link drug policy reform with Indigenous conservation and Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS). We recognize the power of Traditional Knowledge and evidence-based ethnopharmacology, supporting the inclusion of entheogenic medicines—such as therapeutic Ibogaine and other psychedelics medicinal plants—within evidence based and medically assisted and regulated global mental health frameworks.

KRFI advocates for the implementation of Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) protocols consistent with the Nagoya Protocol and the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), ensuring Indigenous communities are equitably compensated and recognized for their contributions to global medicine.

To this end, KRFI proposes the adoption of a 1% biopharmaceutical offset fund—generated through GMP and trade compliance—to directly support Indigenous land recovery, community development, and conservation-based supply chains.  By aligning with the International Trade Council and global NGOs, KRFI seeks to formalize ABS compliance for Ibogaine and entheogenic therapeutics, advancing a unified global psychedelic policy rooted in sustainability, equity, and scientific integrity.

KRFI Ibogaine Global Mental Health Security Initiative advances safe, ethical, and regulated access to Ibogaine for substance use and mental health treatment through strategic public-private partnerships. Leveraging WHO-prequalified GMP manufacturing, blockchain-enabled supply chain security, and regional policy coalitions, the program ensures quality, transparency, and accountability. Ethical sourcing and Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) safeguard indigenous knowledge and resources, while clinical capacity building and policy harmonization provide a scalable model for global mental health security and responsible adoption of novel therapeutics.
